Passion

I enjoy the way we talk,
As if our souls as one had locked.

There was romance in the air.
Pure delight was in your stare.

You look me straight in the eyes
as though you thought, “I’ve won first prize”

I think of love like fairy tails
which could explain why my love fails

I will use my head and not my heart
then they’ll be less chance to break apart

I feel as though I don’t deserve you
And wonder when it might be through

I await that one fateful night
when I awake to nothing but your spite

But for now I have you here
next to me oh so near

You call me your princess
something I never thought you’d profess

Everyday I let down my guard
even though inside is very scarred

You give me confidence which I rarely had
not since long ago with my dad

I awake knowing my prince has been found
and he will always be around
