Ever been to jail? Here's my experience.
Behind Bars Again
By A.J. Dru

This is a sad situation I’m in,
With a jail cell as my home.
I say home
Because that’s what it is.

Home is where your heart is,
Home is where you lay your head.
It’s where you belong.
And, for now,
This is mine, my home.

If you’ve ever get a chance
To stop by and stay a while,
I warn you, this is Hell.

Justice is killing me,
One minute at a time.
All I do is think
Of all the bad things that I’ve done.

Jail is Hell,
Just without the fire and brimstone.
Instead you’ve got your thoughts
And that’s all.

This isn’t the first time
That I’ve called this place home,
But it’s surely the last.
I’ll just have to change,
It can’t be that hard,
Can it?

I said that last time,
And answered with
“Yes, I’ll never change.”

Now, here I am,
Proving myself right
And praying to God
To make me wrong
Next time,
Or the times after that.
