The Waiting Song
I go where the people go Why I do this, I don't know I just can't pass up a rowdy line. But where might I end up? Who or what might be in front? I'm not sure - I just wait in line. Asking those standing near Different guesses I start to hear Oh well, I'll still stand in this line. Now it is way past lunch. And I haven't moved an inch Why am I still in this damn line? Word Count:80 Lines:12 Written for "The Writer's Cramp" Prompt: Write a story or poem about waiting in a non-moving line.
