COUNTRY IN HIS HEART
He was just a boy of eighteen and that’s not so many years who wanted to be a soldier help ease another countries fears So he sold his car, kissed his girl said they’d see him when he returned, that could not be such a long time when once freedom they had earned. He enlisted in the Army and wore the Army green with pride of Country in his heart that few have ever seen. Time passed, the boy became a man his birthday came, he turned nineteen the life he’d lived in that one year within his mind had left a scene The time had come for his return to the folks and girl he loved The chopper crashed, no one knew why then Angels reached from up above. He enlisted in the Army and wore the Army green with pride of Country in his heart that few have ever seen. He went to fight for liberty in the land that’s called Iraq Even though his tour was over He will never be coming back. (Fade) He enlisted in the Army and wore the Army green with pride of Country in his heart that few have ever seen. 1/24/07 Monty
