WILL POWER

Of all the heartless things for a person to do! I know what you are up to, and it isn't going to work. You left that box of candy there to tempt me. You've been trying to sabotage me ever since I started the diet. What's the matter? Are you afraid I'll succeed and look better than you?

Well, you aren't going to stop me. I'm putting this box in your room where I won't see it. You can pig out on it all by yourself. Oh look, isn't that just like you? It's my favorite, with pecans. You think you are so smart. Are those big pecan halves on milk chocolate with that yummy cream caramel filling? You must be really desperate to spend that much money on this.

I wonder how many you ate? You just love it, don't you, that you can eat all you want and not gain anything. I'll just open it and see how many you ate. You ate five? Oh, they do look good.

No! I am putting them in your room and shutting the door, Not even one. Well, one then, that's all. There now into your room with it! Ooh, that's good!

All right now, I'm leaving it on your dresser. Okay, one more for later, but that's all! You didn't think I could do this, did you? You thought I'd take one and end up eating the whole box. Well, I guess I showed you!

How is it going to feel when you aren't the thin one any more? You've had that on me for years. Well no more, sister dear. You laughed when I bought the little black dress to wear to the class reunion. Well, sister dear. who's laughing now?

If I take three she'll count what's left and think she won. Of course I could run down the corner and buy a box, then I can put back in her box and she won't know I even touched it. I have to go out anyway. I'll go buy a box right now. She won't know a thing about it. Then I'll save the one I buy to celebrate when I get to my goal. That's what I'll do!

She thinks she's so smart. I guess I showed her!
