Don’t look back with regret
On how your life was spent Never shut out happiness By settling for being content. There’s more to your life If you live it There’s more to your love If you give it There’s more than just other days Stretching out before you You have to look for other ways To find a path that’s more true To your heart To your soul Play your part Its your role. There’s more to your life If you share it There’s more to your love It you bare it. It’s okay to risk the muffled laughter Of people who just don’t get it They can’t imagine the prize you’re after And when you’re finally able to let it Into your heart Into your soul It becomes your art But it takes its toll. When there’s more to your life And you show it When you plant your love And you grow it. For some will miss the mark And laugh at what you’ve done But they’re decaying in the dark While you’re dancing in the sun. Don’t look back with regret On how your life was spent Don’t shut out happiness By settling for being content.
