Stolen Joy
.................

can't you see she's scared?
can't you see she's afraid?
can't you see she needs you,
at her aid?

the emotions,
she sometimes will hide.
can you please help her?
so she'll have peace on the inside.

the things she keeps from you,
is like a hidden war.
between herself and herself,
so don't give her more.

more to handle,
more to worry.
because she already feels like,
she should be sorry.

sorry for what happened,
sorry for this mess.
as more sorry she gets,
her fake smile fades to less and less.

because she blames herself,
for what happened that day.
the day her joy was stolen,
and then thrown away.
