For Granny
My Granny passed away in 1996. I miss her terribly and this a tribute to her.

You made me laugh and made me cry
You made me feel whole
And so now I ask Why
Away you went without a sound
I closed my eyes and you were there
When I awoke you weren't around
You held my hand when I was scared
And smiled when I did right
But if I were wrong my bottom you bared
I looked up to you all my life
you were the light in darkness
Now that you're gone it cuts like a knife
It's been years so I will try
To let you go
For it is time to say Goodbye

In loving memory
