Suffocate in Solitude
My fears about the future.

uncertainty lingers like a thick, stifling fog
questions hover in the still, murky air
the long haul is present
for worse is tomorrow
how can I give you what you don't know that you want

my mind is occupied with the picture
the faces fade with each passing moment
in tones of black, white, and sepia
until death do us part
how can you want what I don't know how to give you

you want what you don't know
you know what I fear, what you need
color in the picture for me
help me to breathe through the smoke
or leave me to suffocate in solitude
