For the nine months you carried me ‘til the day of my birth For the hours you labored To delivered me to earth For the nights you spent sleepless To dry the tears of my cries For the hugs, the kisses And those soft lullabies Thank you mother For the brother and sisters That I am so blessed to have For always, equally Sharing your love For the sacrifice you make To do the best you can For the caring, sharing You always understand Thank you mother Let’s not wait ‘til it’s too late To tell the ones we love, how we feel The past is gone The future is to come There’s nothing that love can’t heal Thank you mother
