I awaken suddenly
And reach for you. Your gentle embrace, The smoothness Of your strong arms, Your warm breath Caressing my neck Steadily Gently Lulling me to sleep. All is right Within my world With you here. When you were here. I clutch your empty pillow Wishing for Your warmth and love, And before long I feel hot tears Caressing my cheek Steadily Gently Lulling me to sleep. A friend of mine, whom I just adore, wrote a companion piece to this poem. I hope you enjoy it as I do. "Separation Anxiety"
