the blue promise
"the moon lays hidden beneath a cloud"

This item requires reviews with ratings.
the moon lays hidden beneath a cloud
in a gentle south-westerly wind
trees sway gently, leaves whispering
our secrets, unfolded blossoms
and we meet in a dream
two stars among the millions

nighttime fears summon our courage
tempting, bewildering
the beach is wet with returning waves
in the darkness before dawn
a blind man stumbles on the sand
I offer my hand, hoping to offer my strength
the morning caresses a new adventure

a fine freezing mist hides the mountains
I imagine the majestic peaks outlined by
the whimsical winter bluster
which will eventually calm…
will love be as capricious?
and will the clouds swiftly desert my heart
letting it follow the eagles
outlined against the blue promise
of tomorrow
