Winter has Begun Spring has come and gone, The birds have sung their song, And winter seems so long; The north wind whispers to the trees, And they release their leaves, In preparation for the long freeze, And when the freeze begins to thaw, Nature again puts us in awe, Beauty she again starts to draw; To see the cycle come and go, To feel life's ebb and flow, Your love still with us, we know; The vigil now complete, As you stand at the Master's feet, Your memory will remain so sweet; The cycle of life has run its course, In this life you leave no remorse, And you have returned to the source; Of all life and love from above, Your spirit as free as a souring dove, You are remembered with love. Original version August 11, 2001 sitting vigil. Winter has Begun Spring has come and gone, The birds have sung their song, The north wind whispers to the trees, And they release their leaves, In preparation for the freeze, And when the freeze begins to thaw, Nature puts us in awe, To see the cycle come and go, To feel life's ebb and flow.
