![]() WEATHER WATCH. We were in the grip of drought and water was low, The experts said, "What we need is a blow." "Only a cyclone will bring us some rain" "Or another wet season will bypass us again". So we prayed and prayed to the Lord on high To send us some rain, and He did. But oh why Did he send us so much? It's been pouring for weeks. The roads are all cut and my roof has sprung leaks. That's not the bad news I have to impart, On top of this rain, cyclone season did start! I opened the paper this morning to see Two cyclones had formed, one each side of me! Fortunately, both are travelling East, But we've learned from the past, do not trust this beast. A cyclone can turn on a whim of its own Then both could be aimed for this town I call home! We are quite prepared. We've been through it before, Still it's scary when nature knocks at the door. I've added a map, so you can see clear, And marked it with an " X". This is MEG right here! We live in a Paradise - It says in the text To pay our dues out for warm winters sublime, We accept what we get in summer cyclone time.
