words pour onto the black page the ink is white a fish swims next to me as I walk down an empty path oxygen unnecessary constraints of the human body tossed aside to swim flashback aboard a pirate ship not at its time of glory battle almost at an end I feel myself pushed off the edge left to drown yet fail to breathe the water is cold freezing a memory of past life's death a child reaching out hand meets glass of the clear cage an aquarium holding fish of dreams
