Remember when we were lost writers at sea?
Both were too scared to let go a river of words. I held up a dam so tight of emotions, I let it be, And you drifted far from shore, too far for birds. A crew of shouting sailors kept us apart. Hours, years, and decades wouldn't find time. Still, no matter, tragedies won't change my heart, For the lighthouse still shined your lake and mine.
