Thoughts On Me
The first poem I have written in a long time. An odd format; I want to know if it works.

across a whispering meadow
and through an idyllic sea
o’er the corners of my mind
and past my destiny

you see a girl with stringy hair
a half-formed smile—
Nothing more.

a moiré of fog will settle
and hide my thoughts and dreams
but yes I dream—and dream—and dream
nothing is as it seems

you see downcast eyes
a messy scrawl
on a crumpled sheet of
Paper.

I was I am I will
persist to always be
but look beyond the mirror, please
to see a glimpse of me
