One last memory,
Held close to my heart. It is my mortal solace, For when from this world I depart I will have it with me. One symbol of love, Sealed in a pendant gold. When all my days are through And I have withered and grown old, I'll know you're safe above. One rose so divine, On a hallowed soul laid to rest. The reminder of your presence A lonely eagle upon my chest, An image of a simpler time. One final goodbye, And another year I can't take. Too many days I questioned life, Too many nights I stayed awake If only just to cry. One lonely young man, Wandering aimlessly down here. So many years ago I was just a child with fears. Now there's will in me to stand. One inner strength found, And many years later it seems, I have accepted life's ways. I always had hope to follow dreams And your light made it bound. One remembered friend, It has already been so long. Many years later I have the courage To finally admit that you're gone, To realize it's not the end. One somber lament, To confess I am sorry to say That I found courage after your death. My talion, an eternity in every day, Until oblivion I am sent. One golden pendant, Imbued with One last memory, Eternal. Line count: 44 My courage, my strength... ** #1216389 Not An Image **
