In Memory I’ve stood there too On that lonely road When someone near has died. I’ve stood there too With an ache in my heart With the pain – and I have cried. I stand with you In this time of pain It hurts me to see your sorrow I stand with you In your time of need And pray for a bright tomorrow. The void that the death of a loved one leaves Is the space that can never be named. The pain in our chest at the time of the death, Is the love that remains unclaimed. Time is the healer And God is the cure. We know not what is in store, But rest assured, Those gone on before Stand in peace at eternity’s door.
