My hallowed lady of the light, If you would just awake once more To vanquish this cold and dark night. Arise on ethereal shore As a vision of sweet dawn to Inspire my own mortal love's lore. No rival is there to pale you, Purest of all life's simplest ways, You are forbidden love so true. A mortal man of many days, I ever hopelessly desire To lay on earth where she dare lays. She is of an endless sunfire, No other orb divinely fine Can compare to her deepest pyre. One chance to call this lady mine Her beauty alluringly bright And truthfully amaranthine. On evening of the darkest night I wait alone in cold mist for My hallowed lady of the light.
