On a cold February day,
Many years along the way
He’ll look at her and say
‘Hey girl, you and me,
We’ve got history.

‘Remember the movies with friends,
The phone calls which wouldn’t end!
Every second was time well spent;
Yeah girl, you and me,
We sure have history’.

As they sat in the sun,
She thought of how far they’d come,
Kissed him and took his arm.
‘I knew saying ‘Yes’ to you,
Would be the smart thing to do!

‘Now that it’s just the two of us,
You can pay for lunch without a fuss,
‘N drive me to and back from class,
Right now you’re here with me
The present is perfect’, said she.

These times are yet to be,
As they now make their history,
They have time, there’s no hurry.
‘Cause in their hearts it feels so sure,
That this will be their future.
