Temptation's Web

I see the "want to" in your eyes
I see the need--that you try to hide
I see the desire and the shame
The "want" that will cause so much pain

I see how you look at me
I see the fire--that is fighting free
I see the flames consuming you
And your indecision about what to do

I see how much you want to stay
I see your need--for love play
I see it's tearing you apart
Should you leave--or should you start

I see that you still love her
I see you want me too--yes sir
I see this is eating you inside
"What to do" is what you must decide

You can stay or you can go
No one ever needs to know
How temptation caught you in its web
You decide if it's me--or her instead
