I want to go back
Back to where I belong I’ve been too far away For far too long. Seeing their faces So close up again Brings back many memories A bitter-sweet pain. Remembering what was And what could’ve been The plans that we made The dreams we dared to dream. Secrets we never knew, Tales retold in person, The fake smile on my face Learning of her love for him. And now he comes up to me No feelings ever completely go away His hug meant the world just then I wouldn’t want it any other way. I guess… No matter where we are together With them I feel at home, No matter the distance between us With them I feel like I belong.
