Creep When everyone else is sound asleep, That’s when I start my midnight creep. I see you snuggled safe in bed, With thoughts of sugar plums in your head. Into your dreams, I’m unsuspected, Hide in the corners undetected. You blissfully run the garden trail. Evil beast stalks -- hear me wail. You walk the cliffs with no cares at all, I’m the one who makes you fall. On sunlit days, no clouds in the sky, I’ll break your dreams and make you cry. Just when you think that you’re safe at last, I’m terror that stalks you from your past. I ride with the moon until he’s gone, Hide from the light of the fiery dawn. But I’ll be back when you’re sound asleep, That’s when I start my midnight creep.
