Valentine Chocolates
a little late for valentine's but oh well

There was this heart shaped box of chocolates
That made me stop on my way home today.
The perfect thing to buy for you
To explain the words I cannot say.

Just one peek into the box—to smell—
I promise was all I meant to do;
Which made me realize in return
I would get nothing at all from you.

Not a rose or a solitary smile,
Maybe not even the slightest glace.
Could I be so bold to give this still?
Or should I even take the chance?

Now here is your box of chocolates,
I give them as I should.
An empty box of chocolates,
And boy they tasted good!
