Finding My Way ...
If you get lost on the final journey, it's good to know that you'll be found and welcomed.

Finding My Way ...

What’s going on; what’s happened now?
I don’t remember coming here.
It seems so dark; I feel so cold.
I feel confused; my mind’s unclear.

I’m walking down grey corridors.
The dimness grows; I cannot see.
My eyelids widen, seeking light.
I feel afraid, to some degree.

The door slammed shut so suddenly
And now I’m trapped here, in the dark.
This trip, I think, is one on which
I was not ready to embark.

I wander through forgotten rooms.
I catch a glimpse of things I know.
Just fleeting memories of time,
Then far away, I see a glow.

I journey forward, to the light.
So bright, so pure, it calls to me.
The answers beckon in the gleam,
Once I am there, I’ll find the key.

I stumble forward, reaching out.
I feel a warm and strong embrace.
Through blinded eyes, I’m looking up
To find a loving, shining face.

I glance back down the darkened halls
To what had been, tears in my eyes.
I say goodbye and then let go….
Through brilliant light, my spirit flies.
