Great Lover
This is a poem about a confident woman who pours that confidence into her men.

Big eyes,
Big smile
Thick lips,
Even thicker hips
Smart and sassy
Sweet as molassy

There is calmness when she walks
Boldness when she talks
All the room stops and stares when she first appears.

She know she is bad
She knows the power that she has.
She knows she can make them drop to their knees
Beg and plead, “Oh, baby, baby, please!”
“Won’t you give me one chance?”
“All I want is a dance.”

Only she knows a dance becomes
         More
The feeling becomes
         More
The rhythm becomes
         More
The night becomes
         More
The love become
         More
Then they realize there is more,
In store for both of them.

Because he becomes gentile
He becomes kind
He now has that sparkle in his eye.

He begins to woo her with flowers and such
He even takes her out to lunch.
They spend more time
They both begin to unwind-
in each other’s love.

She knew the dance would last much longer
She knew it would grow much stronger.
‘cause she’s never met a man she couldn’t make into a great lover.
