miles from shore
This is a metaphorical poem about how I've felt over the past few months.

Ropes around all my limbs.
Weights are heavy. Cannot swim.
Sinking below, through the tide.
Tears float through water;camouflaged they hide.
Almost at the bottom. Almost to the floor.
Lungs filling up. Miles from shore.
Hope, abandoned. No bright light.
Fade to black. Black of night.
