You built your house of cards
And rolled the dice to play your vice
With burnt sixes needed to make it through
But biting the bullet never works
And now you’ve realised that too.

You played Russian Roulette
One too many times with me
And all that was left was our static animosity
And when you took your turn,
You would roll me aside,
Leaving me to show off crimson insides.

Choose the highest bidder.
Say the mantra and spin the wheel,
And hope for your lot to come out on top.
But biting the bullet never works
And that’s a lesson best not forgot.

You played Russian Roulette
One too many times with me
And all that was left was our static animosity
And when you took your turn,
You would roll me aside,
Leaving me to show off crimson insides.

Well they searched the body,
No weapons were found. Nothing.
Just a dice under the table showing off its spot.
You bit the bullet and missed
And now you’ve had to learn…

You played Russian Roulette
One too many times with me
And all that was left was our static animosity
And when you took your turn,
You would roll me aside,
Leaving me to show the crimson insides.

I wish I could
But I can’t take it back.
The clash of two personalities
Under umber spotlights
And knocking back the novelty,
Passing back and forth a gun
And praying we wouldn’t land a one.
But it’s late
And you should have known…

You played Russian Roulette
One too many times with me
And all that was left was our static animosity
And when you took your turn,
You were rolled aside...
And I watch loss, as crimson slips from your eyes.
