Hard Times

These are hard times,

When you have nothing, not even a dime,

When the landlord puts notices in your mailbox,

Times are so hard you wish it were legal to sell rocks,

When you’ve been looking for a job for so long,

But your degree is just a quiet song,

Bosses turn you away,

They say come back for another job, another day,

Your bills are stacking up,

You wonder should you stand outside on the corner with a cup,

Why is your education failing you?

When you graduated from college people were hailing you,

But don’t give up this time will pass,

Just keep searching and just last,

Put your faith in it,

And you can win it,

There is something out there for you,

Your qualifications will bless you to soar to,

Hold on and just make it through the hard times,

Put it in god’s hands and stay strong like a dime
