Inner Sanctum
A bit of stream-of-consciousness poetry...all from within.

Wonderment of a jaded temple
hidden amongst the heavy layers of clouds
and dusty memories in the sky.
Each shifting vision forming into abstract thoughts—
living life against the grain,
going toward the greater goal,
striving for the living within life.
Ascend the rising staircase like a zeppelin.
Take tentative steps on shifting sands.
Enter the doorway into a hallowed hall.
Things familiar and things
…uncertain…
The light blinds and stings the eyes
like a thousand tiny needles,
blurring vision,
searing the soul.
The spark at the end glows with new fervor,
and life begins anew.
