Three little words were all that were said
To welcome me into this world.
Three little words from the nurse to my folks,
They rejoiced when they heard - "It's a girl!"

Three little words were all that were said
By me, a young lady, so prim.
Three little words to my parents and friends,
'Bout the man of my dreams - "I love him".

Three little words were all that were said
When we grew to a family of eight.
Three little words to describe our large brood,
As far as kids go - "They are great!"

Three little words were all that were said
When life for my soulmate did cease.
Three little words uttered softly through tears,
Till I'm with you again -"Rest in Peace".

Three little words are all that are said
As my grandchildren hand me a pen.
Three little words to begin my memoirs
Treasured words - "I remember when ---".
