Sunlight
coming out of dark night into the warming rays of day

A flutter of light sends the edging night away
warmth wrapped in the light of day
come hither to me, come closer I pray
that your gentle warmth might come to stay

Winter's grasp of season's past
has brought a rush, a chilly blast
covering greenery of a summer's past
Quick to change to spring so fast

Into the night ran the rain
washing away every stain
that  beat so hard upon the plain
soaked ground could hardly contain
