I Need To Love Me
A poem about loving me

I need to love me,
I need to detain myself and think,
To become stronger than the tempest,
Because if I don’t love me,
Than, how can I love someone else?

I need to love me,
To take a look at my life,
To heal the bleeding wounds-
Wounds that never scar.

I need to love me,
There are many songs that I need to sing,
I need to step back,
For I am a person,
It’s Unavoidable,
Things that no one else can see.

I need to love me,
I need to understand me,
I need to face my fears,
Even though I Fall,
I need to rescue me soul,
I need to love me.

I need to stop loving others,
If I can not even love others,
There is nothing in its place,
I need to recover my breath.
I need to save my soul.

I need to love me,
For there I no soul other than mine,
I need to listen to my soul,
I know I can,
For there is no other,
I need to love me.

I need to love me,
For I am a person,
That even when I loose,
I stand up again,
And I continue again,
I need to love me.

I need to love me,
For my soul cries for salvation,
I need to make the tempest calm,
I need to ask myself again,
To make my soul whole,
To stop fooling myself,
I need to love me.

I need to love me,
I do not know myself,
I need to take the last breath,
Hold back my judgment,
To forgive myself,
To stop fooling myself,
Listen To My Heart,
I know I can,
Love Me
