True Love Complex
A poem about the kind of Love that I feel. Enjoy.

Over the years I have tried to reason with my heart
Explaining how a pipe dream can only go down the drain
And at the end of that path I'll only find more pain
That reality is anything but that, and we should be apart

So I went on with life with a newfound delusion
I gave myself a more reasonable conclusion
Drifting from girl to woman to girl
Hoping that some new emotions would unfurl

And I found some that were just great
A nympho who's twice thwarted conception
And a lovely girl that hated her own reflection
But yet I treated them each as if they were my soul mate

Yet, in the back of my mind, she haunted me
None of my 'I love you's were said sincerely
I know that any women who may come next
Will be harshly judged by my true love complex
