COME BACK: a ghazal

I beg, dear, that you come back.
For a moment, do come back.

Let the bygones be bygones.
Let’s start a new life, come back.

We can still walk hand in hand.
Why the past we rue? Come back.

I’ll respect your every wish.
I will not argue, come back.

Put an end to this dark night.
Like the morning dew, come back.

Our life has been torn apart.
Let’s once more, it, sew. Come back.

For uniting kids and us,
You are the one glue, come back.

Khalish don’t shatter my hope.
Don’t wish me adieu. Come back.
