Beautiful Tonto
"Think of all the marvels that we have each day, and then try to tell me that this existence we have is not miraculous." "The interactions between people, including cognitive thought, right, and wrong, we decide." "But you never get to decide what will be embedded into the soul, and what will fall by the wayside; people decide what they want to keep, right?" Tonto's beauty was evident with each word she spoke. Her voice had an angelic tone, giving energy, and peaceful passion with her presence at the table. "What we decide is real, will become real." "When we take control of ourselves, and accept responsibility for what is happening in our lives, we become centered and secure in our own skin, as it were." Tonto looked into my eyes as if to be able to see what was coming from my inner sanctuary; the deep recesses of both heart, and mind.
She stood and grasped her coffee mug in one hand, gesturing with the other, asking without words if I wanted a refill. "I'm fine thanks." "What do you think of we as individuals being in control of our own circumstance?" "Taking responsibility for what is happening in life." "Putting the mind in gear, and dictating the response to our own psyche; the inner sanctuary." "What is most important for me is to not let the ego, the I, have control." "There are higher mind functions, and thought patterns that we have which is much more harmonious." "The primitive gut feelings that produce anxiety, or anger, are no longer needed to the degree they were needed in our youthful day's as humans." "We are on a higher field now in our development as a species. We can live life without fear, and what ever else a person wants." "The power each of us has is real, tapping into it, knowing that it is always at our own command, becomes almost like an aphrodisiac, for our own security in today's world." "That power is attained by realizing we each have control over ourselves, living with love, and peace for who we are." "We are alive." "We have cognition, and get to use it whatever way we want." Gently sipping her coffee, while returning from the refill she said, "It's clear that we have the smarts to overcome the ills of the earth." "By overcoming those ills, we learn valuable lessons about life." " We learn that it's not important to figure out the meaning of life, but to enjoy the journey." "We learn that we are given gifts of experience, be they pro or con." Placing the mug onto the kitchen table she bent down and removed her sandals laying them neatly beside the chair. "You are so beautiful" I remarked as she sat down. With that, she softly placed her feet onto my lap, smiling her beautiful smile.
"I believe that we all have so many facets that it's hard to keep things in order with a sense of understanding, without being sure that we are living now, and to not take experiences personally." "Things that happen need to be dealt with as water off a duck's back." "Let life be life, and you be you." "Because ills occur we must have the proper demeanor, to effectively deal with them." "We tap into that mannerism by assuring ourselves that we are in control of who we are." "With that control the feel of need is dissipated, and our neediness of others lessons, and eventually vanishes."
The light breeze coming through the window was both refreshing and aromatic; the sweet smell of flowers in the air. It is a feeling of being enshrouded with natural wonder. Knowing that we are such significant specks in the universe being the only one, of who we are; completely unique to this infinity.
"Being in thought mode is good for un-expended amounts of time, but being in that frame consistently can be, and is lessening." "Always a balance of the Yin and the Yang," "We all live the good and the bad of life. We all know that there are ills that are encountered along the journey." "Control of the ills is the master stroke." "When the events of the world are placed into the proper perspective, things make a lot more sense"
"What do you think is the general understanding of how we should react, and be in society; be yourself, right?" “Well being one’s self can sometimes bring great tragedy. ” “We have all experienced ills. But it really is how they are accepted that has the impact on us.” “What are the things in your life that bring excessive thought, and anxiety?” “What do you focus your attention on daily, even each moment of that day?” “Do those thoughts deserve so much of your energy?” “Those thoughts, and energy can be used for our betterment instead of detriment.”
"Sometimes I look at myself in the mirror, and see scars, a crooked jaw, looking like an unattractive man." "Other times I look at myself in the mirror, and I see a man growing into enlightenment." "A good man with character, and wisdom." "When I look at myself in a demeaning light, I have to think of the wonder I am." "That goes for all of us on this earth." "As we grow, and live life, we have to be kind to ourselves." "Loving ourselves is the first step to living a warm fulfilling life." The music was quietly playing in the background while our conversation was flourishing. "We all go through that scenario." "I'm sure that everyone thinks thoughts of their weaknesses and faults, all the time." She said to me with a look of conviction in her beautiful eyes. "Yes, but some experience the events of life on different mental planes." "Some are very capable of being in the worst of times, and still handle life's events with quiet calm, and dignity." "That is something I really want." "I just don't seem to have convinced myself that I'm entitled to that calm of quiet conviction." "Then, when the rest of the world is brought out onto the playing field of life, everyone's opinion impacts us with the intensity that we decide to give it." "I get myself so caught up in the moment that I want everyone else to be caught up in the moment with me." "That is a very selfish manner, and I'm learning ever so slowly that we are in charge of our own moments, and not responsible for anyone else."
"Want to go outside for a walk?” Those words created immediate action. Mugs were grasped, chairs shifted, movement was immediately underway.
A beautiful sunny day with birds in the air, and light glistening off the surface of the lake. Through some trees could be seen a little creature scurrying along the forest floor. We walked hand in hand with the abundance of life surrounding us, gifting the feeling of togetherness.
