Surreal

The colourful sun rises on the cruel world
Serene.Peaceful.Calm
The wind blows sweetly and softly to a symphony of sounds.
The birds sing happily, beautifully, all in tune with the melody of the rising sun.
The cruel world is tranquil
Serene.Peaceful.Calm

Then man awakes!
The disturbing sounds of engines and horns pollute the air
While the children and adults scream in demented contrasts with each other.
The cruel world has once again erupted,
But the sun remains
Serene.Peaceful.Calm

Man is occupied
Working, but still grumbling about what he is paid to do
And his offspring feeling trapped in an environment filled with knowledge.
The cruel world is discontented.
But the earth surely remains
Serene.Peaceful.Calm

Man returns home or happily recreates
Exchanging words and comparing the hardships of his life
Yet still enjoying the benefits of his labour.
The cruel world is winding down
But the wind still blows
Serene.Peaceful.Calm

The colourful sun sets on the cruel world
The wind blows sweetly and softly to a symphony of sounds
The crickets converse uniquely, uniformed, all in tune with the melody of the setting sun.
The cruel world prepares to rest
Serene.Peaceful.Calm
And the Cycle of Life continues………
