I Am the Moon
"Arise fair sun, and kill the envious moon"

I am the moon
That so called envious moon
Romeo told fair Juliet
To put me out of my misery
For my envy of his dear Juliet
The sun
She is lovely
It is true
And I do envy their love
For such an experience
I can never have
But sweet Romeo seems to forget
That I light the night sky
With my children the stars
I see the best and worst of humankind
I am a tool of romance
An element of beauty
The confidant of secret lovers
It was I that illuminated the path
To their secret rendezvous
For during the day they were enemies
But bathed in my light
Their love is reflected
And shall ever be
Immortalized
So bask in my light
And speak of me fondly
And I’ll help your love
To blossom
To grow
To survive
In my light
You can be together
Just like Romeo and his sun
His Juliet
