Welcome to M's Portfolio!
I'm Tendra, and I've been created to show you around.
If you want to help M out by reviewing some of her items here at writing.com let me make some suggestions.
"Eternity" is M's story of two boys who meet, fall in love and die together, sort of. If you really want to know what I'm talking about you should read it!
"The Begud Fiasco" is a story about a girl who discovers her parents have stolen begud dust from Santa Claus. M hopes to submit this for publication soon. Your comments and suggestions will be very much appreciated.
"Brett, Doug & Stacey" is not for everyone. It's a bunch of shorts based on M's short story "A Fine Line" which is included in this folder. Basically it centers around three high school aged ice skaters. Brett is in love with Stacey but she is in love with Doug. As if this isn't enough Doug identifies himself as gay and he only has eyes for Brett. What happens when Stacey, already discontent with her life, decides she is a total failure and tries to commit suicide? These stories are about that moment and what happens next. M plans to combine them and add more to make this into a novel.
If you're a member of The Terrace you could also look at these.
"Finding A Home" is a story M has done extensive work on. The grammar, punctuation and spelling have been hit fairly heavily. Not so much spelling actually. M has no idea what could be wrong with the spelling. The rejection letter said:
"You have the beginning of a good story, but it is currently in need of thorough editing, including a check of spelling, grammar and the consistency of flow in the story's theme. Keep at it."
Well, M's still at it. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
"Expelled" is next in line for submission. Mom comes to the rescue, well sort of, when her daughter is expelled. If you've already reviewed this there's no need to return yet. Editing is still in it's future.
Curious about M? Well, I could tell you all sorts of tales. In general, M prefers to write young adult and teen fiction more often from the male point of view than female. Here are some factual stories about M's past.
"Why I Left" - a childhood memory, from the point of view of M as a child
If you're still reading, you probably want to know what else is here. Well, here it is. M will be very happy to receive reviews on just about anything here.
"Favorites" - inside this folder you will find a vampire and a jolly old man, among other things. These are the stories M is most happy she wrote.
"Won" - from a blind woman with a three legged dog guide to a boy who turns his male roommate into a girl these stories won contests. Were the judges doing their jobs? See what stories made it to the finish line.
"Failed" - they failed to win various contest and M feels somewhat indifferent about them. Can you find a gem amidst the rubble. If so, let M know. You never know what could change the mind of M, trust me on this.
"Flash Fiction" - currently 2 five hundred word Flash Fiction tales in a book.
"Secret Note" - a detective finds the person he's been seeking
"What Really Happened" - a scientist creates a new world
"Fanfiction" - er, not for general consumption. This stuff is for fun and some people wouldn't find it fun at all. M very much hopes no one will go here unless they fully understand what fanfiction is. All of this material is gay in theme. Take that into consideration as well. As M would say, you have been warned.
"Tower Elementary" - a novel with one chapter so far Sylvia is going to attend a very different sort of elementary school
"Chaska" - very fragile and not actually available for reading at this time
Thank you so much for stopping by! Come again soon. I'll be updating this regularly.
Hugs,
Tendra
