it circles the lake, a natural expanding of the river,
with rocky cascades and smaller bubbling pools upstream, this sandy road, lined by majestic Laricio pines reaching for the skies and copper colored boulders which reflect in the muted sunlight this is the path of my secluded wanderings searching for a disappearing soul which flees my grasp like the crystal blue water this is the path of my quest seeking those dark melancholy eyes which seduced me disrupting my static life in a single furtive glance which has haunted me ever since this is the path where I once found absolute love for an idyllic week under a dazzling summer sky yet the richness of those days has finally outlasted the pale hopes of my lifetime this is the path where I return to the welcome echo of that time whenever destiny and I can agree seeking the indigo delight of your specter and the quiet promise you showed me I could sustain for C.W.M.
