Dance, Lady, Dance
A poem celebrating the joyful dance of the circle

Dance, Lady, Dance,
On the winds of time,
We chant up the power,
In voice that rhymes,
As we join in your dance,
On the winds of time.

We danced round the circle,
In the candle light,
Our feet do fly,
And our hearts shine bright,
Strength flows in,
And love flows out,
The beat of the dance,
Is what the circle's all about.

We spin and twirl,
As the seasons change,
We call to the stag,
In the forest green,
Now the Lord of the dance,
Makes his presense seen.

The Lord did speak,
As he bowed down deep,
"Priestess will thou dance with me ?"
I took his hand,
And he smiled with glee,
How our feet did fly,
As he quickened the beat.

The Lady fair took
Her priest by the hand,
The notes of the flute,
Echoed out across the land,
Drums grew strong,
As they echoed our heartbeats,
Dance, Lady, Dance,
On the bright moonbeams,
As we twirl through time,
With your Lord and Thee.
