On a long and winding road,
I traveled all alone. I did not know the road I was on, But I knew it would take me home. Every turn and bend I took, I had a new sight to see. When out of the blue I startled to find, A sight that made me look. Another, it seemed, was on the road, He was walking in my path. I did not know why he was there, On this my road to home. He did not stop, or change his pace, He simply trudged along. I wanted to slow but was afraid, Until I saw his face. I knew just then why he was here, Behind me on this path. He was on his way home too, And I had nothing to fear. God is the one that sent us here, To travel on this path. When love has found you, it will be, Something you hold most dear.
