A man's prayer
A man pouring out his soul

A man knelt by his bed, pouring out his heart to God
He had never done such a thing before.
His life had changed in ways he had never thought would happen
Not to him

This always happened to "someone else"
But we're all "someone else"
His wife's death hurt him
Deeper than he thought possible

He poured out his soul
Asking questions of the Almighty.

"God," he began
"If you're really there,
I need to know
I need help.

Why is the world plagued with fear?
Why is the world cursed with hate?
Why are there people who murder?
Why is there suffering?
Why is there death?"

And as he prayed, he stopped for a moment.
He didn't think anything
Would actually happen
But...

"My son,"
The voice began,
"Be comforted,
I am here
And I will answer

Fear is a construct of Evil
Keeping people from the Light
Hate is a construct
Designed to fight Love

Murder is the destruction of life
None of these are of me
They are of my fallen children
Now...

Suffering is different
Even I, the greatest of all, had to suffer
When I sent my Son to die
When men suffer, it breaks them down
And I can bring them back

Death...

Think of your children,
You would do anything for them.
All mankind are my children,
And I love them as you love yours

I allow them to leave me,
So they may grow on Earth
But why should they stay
Longer than they have to?

I love them,
And I want them to be with me.
That's why I sent you
And all mankind.

But fear not,
My son.
For just as you embrace your children,
For tonight, I shall embrace you."
