I thought I saw a flicker
of life tonight, in the depths of your eyes as you watched me turn and dance on the floor. A glimpse of something I know I saw pass across your face. Do you deny what I saw in your soul a moment of love a piece of tenderness as we danced across and around? Is it reaching, to imagine what you felt as you held me in your arms and tried to look away so as not to see the depths of my soul tonight? Love me if you will, leave me if you can, pry yourself away from my loving arms to hide away what I know I saw dancing in your eyes tonight.
