What Mankind Has Wrought

Great cruelty and hatred within Mankind hide.
European Holocaust, Bosnia, Rwanda, Darfur --
Names of some occurring within my lifetime.
Older victims included our Native Americans.
Cambodia, Bangladesh, China, the USSR –
Innocents were slaughtered there without mercy.
Does no limit exist for atrocities Man will commit?
Emotions overwhelm all reason, all restraint.
So many millions have suffered and died…
