He Is Calling You

For a world that was made so perfect,
It’s a shame that it’s so bad.
There’s the destitute and homeless,
Who are lonesome and so sad.
Yes, the world has gone so wrong to day,
It’s hard to think there’s hope,
But Jesus Christ is all we need.
If we just let Him lead.

There’s the prostitute; she’s waiting,
She’s tried but can’t say “No!”
Can you see the Alcoholic?
Whose life went year ago?
Can you see the drug addictor?
Who’ll do anything for more?
It’s a world that still needs Jesus,
And we’re saved to take Him there.

Have you heard about the world wars?
How they’re ravaging the land?
There are innocent people dying,
At the power of man’s own hand.
There are people, who live in poverty,
All they need is self-esteem.
We were chosen by God to love the world,
And that love is all we need.

We’re the Christians of this world today,
But we’ve slacked upon our job.
We have let the world go hungry,
‘Cause we’re safe in our own mob.
We have got to get a grip on things,
Or we’ll lose our chance with God,
For He’ll raise another army,
And exclude us from the Prize

Do you know that God is calling you?
Yes, He’s calling you today.
He is calling you to discipleship,
Will you go or will you stay?
He is calling you to heal the world,
In a very special way.
Will you take a risk and let Him lead,
Or will you leave the world…

…The way it is?
