MY HEART WAS ONCE BUT YOUR
Once we were almost strangers, Unknown to each other. Till our hearts, in a bondage, Of love we did tether. Though our love was untarnished, Soon did we realize That our ways were different And to part would be wise. Though I don’t know where you are, Yet this I know for sure: Though we could not get along, My heart was once but your. Yes, it was rather short lived, My very first love stint. It has truly left on me Its indelible print. • Written in abcb, 7-6-7-6 format • Written for the ‘Write It! Monthly Challenge’ Contest , "Invalid Item" M C Gupta 12 April 2007
