Amanda (not me) S.
I've seen what it is to be lonely.

She wanders alone
Through the bustling crowd
A silent figure
In the midst of loud.

She walks by lovers
Seized by the rhythm
Seized by the passion
But she has no him.

She smells sweet cologne
Feels electric surge
Deep pounding of bass -
Excitement can't purge.

How funny it is
But perhaps more sad
That she is lonely
At a dance gone mad.
