the golden dragon
of intricately folded paper thrones on the unpolished cedar table gathering dust, untouched since that night untimely accident, too long ago though time stands still since that moment year after year the wine has turned to vinegar the bottle he had prepared for the surprize offering her the rare origami treasure now he, her beloved unaltering, comes unhurrying to the room careful to not to disturb death's peace suddenly the unnatural quiet is broken unchecked, heartwrenching faithful to his departed his grief soars higher and higher like the firey breath of the dragon meeting her soul part way between here and the heavens where he so willingly would have continued his life wondering why it has been so prolonged in unending solitude the golden dragon [2007.12.4...a]
